If you hate selling your services for fear of sounding “salesy”, you’re probably doing it the wrong way round. You’re probably thinking that the way to sell your services is to keep asking people to book you. And if you approach your marketing in this way, well yes, you will sound salesy. Try to turn things around and shift your attitude from “selling yourself” to “helping people to buy from you”. You’re not pushing them into anything, you’re allowing them to book you to solve their problems.
But first, you need to LISTEN to what they’re saying. Ask them what problems they have and listen to what they say. Then show them how working with you is the answer to their problems. After that, booking you will become the next logical step for them.
